~Lollygag~
It’s been a whole 10 days since my our last posting of “As the Jungle Turns” but this was in the spirit of our next selected word….”Lollygag”!!
As you can tell, trying to fit a storyline with the selected words can be difficult as mentioned in previous chapters. Lollygag was no different. Pia and I were confused on how we would fit this word into our story.
When we last left out heroes, they were in the Forest of Endor and I began thinking of the old fairy tales that took place in the dark forests of Germany as told by the Brothers Grimm. I mentioned to Pia that we should lollygag in Germany to which she selected Berlin.

At this point, we decided our team would also part ways with their guide, Mr. Sides. We felt that since Mr Sides is so much into World War II and German military, we would leave him as the new curator of a museum dedicated to the weapons of the German Reich.

While Pia decided to draw areas of Berlin such as the Brandenburg Bridge and Check Point Charlie, I decided to draw the Berlin Wall. There was so much art references for the Berlin Wall that I had difficulty in deciding which wall to draw. That’s when I stumbled on the art of Thierry Noir.
I wasn’t able to find the artist name however for reference.
I drew Mary as tourist with some personalized graffiti.
When I posted this draw on Instagram, I am assuming that the #BerlinWall hashtag must have grabbed the artist Theirry Noir’s attention because he liked and commented on my draw.

The next word in the Monkey Sidebars game was “Scandinavian”. We would have to tie in the word with our story so we decided that our next contact would be known as “The Scandinavian.” He would need to be a man who could locate the Twins using the latest technology.

Our next chapter will take us to “the land of the ice and snow, from the midnight sun where the hot springs flow.”
Until we meet again in the halls of Valhalla….
